Dried up mascara? –

I bought a set of mascara (eight very good manufacturers!) from a chain of beauty supply stores. I opened a mascara and it was dry. I added a few drops of water but it still dried out! I opened a second, a third, a fourth… everything dried up. It was a Christmas reward for 2020. – In March this company “Chat Rep” mentioned that I should have opened them all as soon as I got the set!! I didn’t think this was a sound recommendation in any way. – I’ve purchased this promotional set twice before and have never had a problem with “dry” mascara. — The chain categorically refuses to offer a credit score to the retailer for a defective product. – Recommendations ?

Sorry, there is nothing you can do at this level.
It is not absurd for the company not to guarantee the standard of a product that is more than 12 months old.
If stored properly, completely closed, in a COLD, DRY place, most makeup products will keep for about two to a few years – however, an organization does NOT need to ensure it stays as well. long time.
At this level – YOU can’t show that you haven’t opened it and then leave it to dry. (I know you probably didn’t, and you’re probably trustworthy – however, from a business perspective, a lot of dishonest people are probably trying to make the most of the “free product” by doing unreasonable statements – to them – it just seems like another irrational statement.)
Most companies have a limit on how long they will just return “defective” products or provide any sort of credit score for those defective products. The default lead time is 30-90 days depending on the product and business needs.
