We used these indoor fly strips this year (long strips coated in dark brown glue to trap flies) and unfortunately some of the glue ended up on the walls in places. The material almost looks like pine resin, it’s so sticky and really nasty, and I don’t know how to get it off without damaging the paint underneath. ideas ?

From experience I had fly trap glue stuck to a pink wall, don’t rub. If you use something with acetone like WD-40 or nail polish remover and wipe it lightly with a napkin or napkin, the glue will dissipate and your wall will be fine.

I just used WD-40 on a 2 foot long strip of old fly paper that I just noticed was just a 1/8 inch wide strip that was covered in the fly paper. flies, maybe the summer heat caused it? Anyway, I put on vinyl gloves, put the red tube on the WD-40 nozzle to control the spray, let the spray sit for 20 seconds, and scrubbed it off with a rag. It completely disappeared within minutes. WD-40 is amazing!

Hi. I would try a hand cleaner like mechanics use. It’s cheap and can be purchased at Walmart or Canadian Tire. Rub it in, let it sit for half an hour, then wipe it off. I use it for all types of stains.
