I have an invented anime character whose name is Ankoku Kira: 3 but I never found out what his name really means. I feel like “Ankoku” means “demon” or something in Japanese, but now that I think about it, it might not mean “demon”. I’m aware that “kira” is basically the Japanese word for “murderer”

Kiraa is just how “killer” might be spelled in Japanese, but it’s not used much, it’s debatable to what extent it’s a real Japanese word, but would be understood by Japanese people (although kira is a completely irrelevant native Japanese name for the killer, so care would have to be taken to spell it correctly in Japanese).
Ankoku (暗黒) means darkness.
A word for demon would be 悪魔 (akuma).
