Everyone says something different, I swear! My piercer told me NOT to move it, but many others have said that if you don’t, your ear will pop out of the metal. If you must clap, when should you start clapping and how often?
If you have stainless steel or titanium, it won’t grow around the piercing and you won’t even have to worry about it. If it’s sterling silver, well, he shouldn’t have pierced you with his hat in the first place, but the scin ca et ca poke around.
So contact your piercer and see what metal he pierced you with. If not, I mean… you can move it around if you just want to make sure you have CLEAN hands. Wash your hands with hot water before you touch it and all. And don’t forget to keep cleaning.

Her piercer wore long jewelry to allow the piercing to bulge. This prevents the ear from “pushing” on the jewelry. Follow the advice of your piercers. Moving a healing piercing only irritates it and damages the healing tissue.
If your piercer specifically told you not to twist/move it, you probably shouldn’t. However, when mine was going through the healing process, I found that my ear felt better when I twisted it. It’s almost like it helps move/loosen the pus and scabs. (which is normal for the healing process) If you find it hard to move or hurt when you touch it or even bump it accidentally, you can try twisting it.

of course, any contact you have with your open wound is not good for this. and I’ve been told by some piercers that it will cause the ‘gunk’ if you get into the piercing and cause infection etc. personally, i did it on ALL my piercings, and i did my industrial twice. make sure you have clean hands, and I would recommend before doing this, to first use an antiseptic bactine or a bandage and a cotton swab.

you have to twist it every day. but make sure it’s cean first because the crispies can get in your hole xx
