Relationships in English : If a lady is my aunt then what am I to her?

The only possibility I can think of is that I’m his nephew.

You can also be his niece – you don’t say if you are male or female.
The word is not used to refer to older women, not in English-speaking countries. Sometimes there is an ‘honorary aunt’ given this title who is usually a close friend of the mother (who would be around the same age as the mother, not an elderly woman)
In some Latin countries and in Polynesian countries, it is considered polite to refer to all elderly women as “aunt” or “aunt” and all elderly men as uncle or “uncle”, but this is not the case in English relations.

Friend,

English is not a perfect language in all respects. It has only 26 letters in its alphabets. Some sounds still cannot be written correctly.

Likewise, relationships as aunt and uncle are messy. You need to ask a certain question again to be sure who the person is and how they are related to you.

Calling an old woman an aunt is just a gesture of respect.

Suppose one is the third child of his father’s six children. To find out, you can’t get an answer by asking a direct question.
You have to ask indirectly “are you the second child?”. then
you might get the response “No, I’m the third child.”

Similarly, you have an English word ‘SIN’. What is the opposite of this or its antonym? The exact word is not there.

we have to agree. That’s all.

The literal meaning of aunt is your mother or your father’s sister, or your sister-in-law. That makes you his niece or nephew.
You are correct that the term is also used to describe a special person in a child’s life, such as a good family friend. Although you could, for example, call your mother’s roommate Aunt or Aunt Susie, she probably won’t call you her niece/nephew.

You are his nephew if you are a man and his niece if you are a girl. Your aunt is basically your mother/father’s sister.
