Is it rude for a person to say, “You’re excused” when you say “Excuse me”?

I don’t know if I would exactly call that rude. I would conclude that anyone who says “you are dismissed” when someone has just said I’m sorry or forgive me is a monster. He is someone I would avoid like the plague and this seemingly inconsequential exchange is all the proof I would personally demand. That would be MY PROOF that this person is complete shhThe.

Little things like this are what separate the normal from the abnormal. He is a person who (mistakenly) thinks he is funny, but is very sarcastic, sarcastic, caustic and deluded. If she thinks anyone can handle being with her, she’s wrong. If they are not reprimanded early, they will remain in this strange mode for the rest of their lives. Always attracted to jobs and opportunities where they believe they are in a position of authority, like mall security, parking security, or maybe someone who is a money collector. Basically a job where they can get away with being idiots. But. These guys never keep a job long… they get fired for having such a sour disposition and bad attitude.

No disrespect to normal people who work security or collect bills, but you have to admit that there are power-hungry freaks who do this job sometimes.

Above me, I think it’s perfectly fine and I think (to be fair) it’s all in the presentation. If it’s said in a sarcastic and hateful way… then the person is acting rude. If it’s basically a nice, nice person, just trying to respond and acknowledge the person who said excuse me… then I’d say that’s fine. Personally, I’ve never seen anyone be nice when they respond like that, that’s all. Also..the person would have said Forgive me vs You’re dismissed if it was.
