Is fatwin lottery for real?

In the mail I received a letter from “Manteca Ford by Phil Waterford and Exotic Highline” stating that there would be a scratch code inside. I had the winning code and the prize options were: Jackpot: 50,000 OR two 2015 Ford Mustangs. Prize 1: 5,824.50 2: Apple iPad Prize 3: up to $500 CASH 4: Gas Grill 5: Flat Screen TV 6: Xbox One. There are pictures of previous winners and their first and last names. I went to the website and was given a confirmation code and told to go to the dealership to see if I had won. Is it legit or too good to be true?

Answer 1

It’s not a scam. It’s a marketing ploy to get you in.

As LegFuJohnson said, you’ve almost certainly won prize 3 – “up to $500 CASH”.

So what is “up to $500 CASH”??? If they kick you out and test you, you could win a $1 cash prize. 1 dollar equals “up to $500…”. Take it?

One more point – EVERYONE who received this letter in the mail had the “winner code” in their scratch card.

answer 2

Just got this in the mail from a Lake of the Ozarks dealership. Clear impression: no purchase is necessary and does not affect the chances of winning. Odds for any jackpot you hit now: 1:2.5 million to 1:1 million. All other prizes (identified 1st to 6th) have a win rate of 1:1 million, 1:250k or 1:# of dealer booth entries. If no other prizes are won, you win *$1*. As others have said, this happens to be “up to $500”. It is also “a waste of time”.

answer 3

Not even my case. The lottery address you are connecting to + add the name or two other keywords. I don’t even work. The scam is to get your email address which I foolishly provided. Now no more spam and no more emails from FORD and that outfit. Throw it in the trash – hard to use as toilet paper.
.
I wouldn’t mind a small premium, even if I had to show up at the dealership. This, however, takes the cake. Ed McMahan Days.
The downside is the dealer will NEVER see me cross the line, so it backfires and I report it to the state for fraud.

answer 4

I bought one from Price Ford Lincoln in Wa. been with a key stuck to this booger and a $1,493 lottery coupon that says in lower case it will only be cashed if I spend $10,000 or more on a NEW CAR!! I already know my credit isn’t good enough to buy a new car, but if it was (which I wouldn’t) I’d have to go through a credit check and a LONG big sales pitch and leave with nothing. They cut down trees for this glossy paper and it’s not recyclable!

Answer 5

I have one too. He says there’s no need to buy, and number 3 wasn’t cash, it was “up to $500” on a Walmart gift card, but at least you got some get one that costs $10. support your sales pitches, you can walk away with the most boring $10 gift card you’ve ever won

Answer 6

It’s probably legit. You’ve won up to $500 in cash…if you buy a new car there.
