You could probably do that, but you’d also have to get it fixed or you’d probably get infections. Our eyelids help keep harmful microorganisms away. Doctors should therefore find something to fix it.
EDIT: And as the people below me also mentioned, eyelids keep our eyes moist. Without them, our eyes would dry out.

A doctor should give you medicine to keep your eyes moist, because if they dry out you will lose your sight. Sleeping would also be difficult. The person will need to wear a blanket or bandage with medication over their eyes at night to keep them from drying out.

I lost one of my eyelids in a car accident. They took skin from another area and underwent numerous surgeries to construct a new eyelid. It’s not working well and I can’t close it completely, but I’m alive.

No, a person wouldn’t live because every time you blink your eyes get wet with water. if you had no eyelids, your eyes would dry up and you would definitely not be able to sleep.

Yeah. You’ll have to take protective measures like constantly using eye drops because since you don’t have eyelids your eyes get dry so you might even have to wear goggles or something that stops things from get into your eyes and you don’t. eyelids natural defense system, I should probably also wear special clothes at night for the same reasons. It would be very boring, but you can live. As for sleep, you don’t need to close your eyes to sleep, it’s just a comfort thing and to protect your eyes from drying out or anything getting into them. In fact, some people sleep with their eyes open (I do, it scares my boyfriend, especially when I start talking in my sleep and look at him like I’m a zombie lol!)

Some people sleep with their eyes open. Anyway, I remember soldiers sometimes opening their eyelids to make burns and reconstructing them from the skin of the scrotum! the! Apparently it’s the only other place on the body with the same type of skin.
