I keep getting “Amp Error” on my Pioneer DEH-150MP stereo! HELP!?

I’ve had a lot of trouble with aftermarket stereos. I recently installed a Pioneer DEH-150MP stereo and it worked great! Suddenly when I start the car the stereo has no sound. If I hit the console side, sometimes it starts to work. Does that mean it’s faulty wiring? I’m not just a technician and I would like some help.

the radio may be faulty or you have crossed wires or your amplifier is wired incorrectly and it is drawing too much juice check your amplifier wires that everything looks good and the wires are fine check your radio wires make sure they are all goos and nothing intersects and there are no ɴᴀκᴇᴅ places if they are good check your wires in your car for the same if they are good then check your radio or try replacing your radio one either will solve the garrenttee problem

Amplifier errors on Pioneer car receivers are specific to speaker outputs ONLY. This may be due to a short circuit in the wiring or the total impedance of the connected loudspeaker being too low. Anything that can raise the amp’s chip temperature above normal causes it to send a signal to the head unit controller, thus displaying an “amp error” message. Removing the chip won’t work because when the amplifier status signal is missing, it will show “amp error” after 50-120 seconds. Be careful when purchasing a replacement chip that is not genuine as you will still have the same problem. Some replacement chips in China are just renamed TDA type chip. It’s almost the same type, but without an amplifier status signal line that the Pioneer headunit needs. Hope this helps before you decide on a DIY.

how about deh-3650? I have a deh-3650 CPU. When it starts about 55 seconds, shows on the lcd amp error. I replace the internal power amplifier in our store, but it does not solve. What can I do?

I thought it was worth posting as it might be useful to other people. I have a Pioneer deh headunit that started showing the AMP ERROR message. My solution to this problem was to replace my two sets of RCA cables with higher quality ones. Since I changed the RCA cables, the AMP ERROR message has not reappeared.

I had the same problem with the new DEH-X2750 system, after 55 seconds the “AMP” error appears on the LCD… IC with car audio system, not the amplifier, so you need to fix it”
and I try to contact the dealer and our site customer service for repair (bad china stuff, wish I could do it for the better)

I had the same problem. The workshop told me that the Tuner Amp module was bad. Deal with Pioneer to resolve the problem. I hope this helps you.

The Pioneer brand is the problem. Solution: You need to change this radio.
