How many stamps should I use to mail a potato?

It’s a longtime joke between me and my friend who says, “I’ll send you a potato!” but none of us did. So I will be the first. I’m going to stick some paper with the shipping information on it, just like you would on an envelope. How many stamps do I need to put on my potato for it to be shipped? kthxbai

You’re kidding? When have you ever received something delivered without a box or an envelope?
Benefit from a free express envelope at the post office. If it fits, send it.
Is the joke worth the shipping?
$4.90 postage at the post office; less if you download, print and pay online.
Put a picture of a potato in an envelope and mail it for 44 cents.

The post office will not mail a potato unless it is in a container. And then the shipping cost will depend on the weight. Your best solution is to put the potato in a small box and then take it to the post office to be weighed and pay the postage that way.
Unless you’re using a very large potato, shipping probably won’t exceed a few dollars.

I just did it yesterday. Your potato MUST weigh less than 13 ounces (about 0.8 lbs, but aim for 3/4 lbs). You also need about 9 or 10 stamps (about $5) in postage.
I had problems when I first went because they wanted me to put it in a bag and then put the stamps in the bag (what!). So I went back this morning and they were much better and accepted it as is. They even gave a tracking number at no extra cost!

I would recommend wrapping everything in tape with your postage and shipping information and I would say 3 stamps.

I think of you in basic terms positioned the conventional volume of stamps and the handle that can be art. Otherwise, in simple terms, ask your instructor how they received them, or ask the humans working in the positioned workstation.
