I want to apply for this job in a music store looking for someone with retail experience; I’ve done a lot of cashier work in the theater working at the box office and in concessions and I don’t know if that counts as retail or not

Yeah it’s definitely a retail experience, you have a cashier and you work with customer experience, go for it.
