and if they cut for you, do they charge for you?

I would buy a trimmer (about $8 plus or minus a few bucks). You can cut the size exactly as you need. They sell 8 foot sections and 2 foot sections of PVC.

I’m not sure, but it’s not that hard to do alone. All you need is the right type of saw (HoDe staff can help you find the right type). Check the packaging of the saw to make sure it is PVC, it could also be for other things. The blade should have finer teeth, not like a wood saw. You don’t need a chainsaw either. This should take less than 1 minute per cut. If you’re worried about straight cuts, PVC is pretty forgiving as long as you don’t go wrong, say 30 degrees. If you are still not confident, buy a miter box, make sure the miter saw will cut PVC. Again, look for finer teeth (longer and smaller).

An $8 saw will easily cut PVC.
And yes, most stores have 2 or 4 foot pieces of certain sizes of PVC and ABS pipe ready to use.

Yes they will cut for you and no they won’t charge you unless you have a lot of cuts, and even then they can’t if they aren’t very busy and you ask nicely.
Also, they have shorter lengths of 2 and 3 feet in most places.
And as everyone says, just about any saw can cut PVC, including miter saw, hacksaw, chop saw, Japanese saw, reciprocating saw, saw band saw and even a jigsaw if you’re desperate. .

Yes they do on both issues, if you have a saw that’s all you need to cut it, even a rope will cut it, but it will take a few minutes.
