I am with you because I prefer a man to lead the church. I’m in doubt (since I’ve never done much research) what God thinks. I just know that I prefer a man to be the pastor because I think men should be the leaders in the body of Christ. I know there are plenty of women who are quite capable of doing the job, but I don’t think that’s their role. I don’t think God’s direction for man to be the leader has anything to do with qualification or one being better than another. In my church, the pastor’s wife often teaches/preaches for the congregation, but the way it was explained was that her husband was “covering” for her to do this. She was teaching under her spiritual cover, so that was good. I also learned that Paul was speaking to a specific audience, a people with uneducated wives who sat away from their husbands and asked questions from across the room. who knows? I am not an expert.
