Usually if my legs are wrapped around my boyfriend’s waist when he picks me up, it’s because I don’t want to fall. His legs are his strongest part, so it’s much easier to hold him that way. It is also a break for the arms.

Ok, when I’m sad, I like to hug my friend…they kinda make me stronger. ;D and the neck.. maybe because you want to be near them and it’s like “if they try to move you can kill them” hug lol
I think I like hugging boys more than girls when I’m upset because they’re overprotective and all that <3

it’s really nice to do this because we like a man’s arms around our waist, it’s protective and intimate, plus I like the feel of my boyfriend’s neck and shoulders and you’re fine position to caress her hair and her neck, which I know you love!

It is not a psychological or emotional reason, but rather a physical reason.
Typically, men are taller and fatter than their women, so a woman’s arms are shorter and harder to wrap around a man’s back. it’s not impossible, but harder, wrapping her arms around his neck is easier for her.
For men, he is more comfortable, holding his woman around the waist and pulling her back up as he pulls her in for a kiss. or a big hug.
It also helps to lower his head to hers so they can kiss more easily.
