you won’t believe it but DILLY TRAILER MAKERS!
Dilly makes a boat trailer for Dilly. Prior to this, Dilly made its own trailers.
I just got a Dilly boat trailer and really appreciate the story. Very cool. THANKS
Great trailer! He always does a wonderful job transporting my Force Five Sail boat. It was manufactured in 1976. Galvanized.
I’m fixing it up (just a little rust) but with a little grease and zinc paint I bet it will look better than most new trailers.
This site can help you.
who makes the dilly boat trailer?
Thanks Jack Green, loved reading this! Now if I can figure out how to replace the wheel bearings on my Dilly D400(?) trailer with the 4 hole square wheel hubs.
Jackgreen began building utility boats and trailers in the 1950s in a small Dallas store on the corner of East Illinois Avenue. and overton rd.. they moved their small operation to Lancaster Road about 2 miles south of Loop 12. in 1955, meanwhile. brother randall was discharged from the navy and joined the company. In 1961 the company moved to Lancaster and constructed a 40,000 square foot building at 2007 Lancaster Hutchins Road. They became the second largest boat trailer manufacturer in the country and produced thousands of trailers. in 1978 the company was bought by a man from Europe and went bankrupt in about 5 years. In 1970 Jack and Randall built Lancaster Airport and operated it until Green and Green was sold. They donated it debt-free to the City of Lancaster in 1978. in Red Oak, TX. on interstate 35 as j-rod trailers inc. this company built truck beds and gooseneck trailers for the next 20 years. j-rod was sold in 2001 and jack opened a small co. in Italy, Texas. Jack now builds injection units for crawler tractors to inject chemicals into the ground for stabilization purposes.
That’s more information than anyone probably cares, but that’s the real story of Dilly boat trailers. By the way, if anyone questions any part of the story, they can ask Jack Green. I am the green valet.

Yes, it’s cool to make one. When you save it, it should be saved in a homemade trailer. There is no law against making your own boat trailer. Just make sure you do it right! Make sure you have turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, and running lights on them and make sure they all work. Yes, it can be wood as long as it is built on a metal frame, not just wood. There are no weight requirements, just make sure it fits your boat properly and make sure the trailer is strong enough for your boat. It must also have a serial number in the language because it must have one for the DMV to register it.

What our team says
Dilly boat trailers are made by an Ohio company. The company has been manufacturing boat trailers for over 30 years and enjoys a high reputation.
History of the Dilly Boat Trailer
The Dilly boat trailer was invented in the early 1970s by Bob Dilly. It is a small, lightweight trailer that can be pulled behind a car or truck. The Dilly boat trailer has revolutionized the way people transport their boats, making it possible to tow a boat behind a vehicle without a large, expensive trailer.
Today, Dilly boat trailers are still made by the same family business and are still the best way to transport your boat. If you’re looking for a lightweight, well-designed trailer that will make towing your boat easier than ever, look no further than the Dilly boat trailer.
How is the dilly boat trailer made
The Dilly Boat Trailer is a simple and efficient way to move your boat from place to place. It is made up of two main parts: the body and the legs. The trailer body is made of high-strength aluminum, which is light and easy to maneuver. Legs are galvanized steel for durability and strength.
Why the Dilly boat trailer is so popular
The dilly boat trailer is a very popular option for those looking for a light and easily maneuverable trailer. These trailers are perfect for towing behind a small car or SUV and can even be towed by a bicycle! They’re easy to set up and take down, making them perfect for weekend getaways or long camping trips.
The different types of dilly boat trailers
When it comes to choosing a Dilly boat trailer, there are several types to choose from. Depending on your needs, you can choose a single axle or tandem axle trailer. If you plan on hauling a lot of gear, the tandem axle option may be the best choice.
Another thing to consider is the material the trailer is made of. Aluminum trailers are lightweight and won’t rust, but they can be more expensive. Steel trailers are more affordable, but they are heavier and more susceptible to rust.
Whichever type of Dilly boat trailer you choose, make sure it is properly maintained and inspected before each use. This will help ensure your trailer lasts for years.
How to choose the right Dilly boat trailer for you
When it comes to choosing a Dilly boat trailer, there are a few things you need to consider to make the best decision for you and your boat. Here are some tips for choosing the right Dilly boat trailer for you:
1. The first thing you need to do is determine the size of your boat. This will help you narrow down your choices and find the right size trailer for your Dilly boat.
2. Once you know the size of your boat, you can start looking at different trailers. Be sure to compare prices and features to find the best deal.
3. Pay attention to the weight capacity of the trailer. This is important because you don’t want to overload it and damage your boat or the trailer itself.
4. Another important factor to consider is the usability of the trailer. You don’t want something difficult to use, so be sure to read the reviews before making your final decision.
5. Finally, consider where you plan to store the trailer when not in use. If you have limited space, you might want to look for a compact option that can be easily stored.
The Dilly boat trailer is made by a company called Dilly Trailers. They are based in the United States and have been in business since 2008. Their trailers are designed for both recreational and commercial use and can be custom built to meet the needs of their customers. If you’re looking for a high-quality boat trailer that gets the job done, Dilly Trailers is definitely worth a look.
