When I install a new car stereo should i connect the p.cont wire to the power antenna wire?

There are two stereo wired connections, which I don’t know if I should connect. One is the p.cont and the other is the ant. next I don’t have an amp. Should I connect one of these wires to the wire harness feed antenna?

Looks like you have a Kenwood.
The “P. Cont” is used to trigger the electric antenna relay or the remote triggering of an amplifier.
The exception is when the radio has a blue wire and a blue/white wire. In these cases, blue is the antenna and blue/white is the amplifier.
Some vehicles may also have an “electronic” antenna with signal gain circuitry. You must connect this wire to one of the above to properly receive stations. The most notable are VW cars and some Nissans.
