Select the feature that differentiates viruses from bacteria.
Viruses are the boundary between living and non-living things. They take over the cells of other organisms. They do not exhibit processes such as reproduction, respiration, or excretion outside of their host cells. The only thing they have due to which they are classified as living beings is DNA or RNA (present inside a protein coat, as viruses are NOT cells).
Bacteria are prokaryotes, which means they are cells without a defined nucleus. The absence of a nuclear envelope results in the presence of its genetic data located in its cytoplasm. Most bacteria also have a fully permeable (porous) cell wall outside of the partially permeable membrane that lines the cytoplasm. Most bacteria are immobile, meaning they cannot move, but some have a tail called a flagellum that helps them swim. Bacteria need food and oxygen to breathe, but some can also breathe anaerobically, that is, without oxygen.
Additionally, bacteria can be killed by antibiotics, while viruses can only be killed by antibodies produced by the body’s lymphocytes (white blood cells). Doctors sometimes prescribe antibiotics when you have a viral infection. It’s not about killing viruses, just killing bacteria that can attack the body while it’s vulnerable to viral attack.
Viruses are not made of cells
Viruses are usually DNA or RNA wrapped in a protein coat, sometimes with a few layers of lipis. They are unable to copy themselves like a cell, so they are not alive. They look more like a very complex toxin than a life form.
Pathogenic bacteria cause disease
Bacteria are everywhere
Bacteria need to eat almost constantly to stay alive
But… bacteria are made of cells
People like to go out and kick old people over the head and rob them, they prefer to fight and stab people, shoot them, ruin property, and generally find it amusing to destroy everyone’s way of life. Usually these types of people are a bit too lazy to get smart jobs and completely lack the energy in their minds to figure out something bigger to do. Why should these animals be exclusive since they are so lazy, cowardly and unimaginative that they cannot be forced out and into trouble. These idiots feel it makes them huge to do harm and now they don’t need the courage to face anyone honestly. The reputation of the path is not good if you cannot establish yourself, so your frustration must irritate your intellectual disease. There are some who do it for profit, stealing other’s knowledge and money, but the idiots who write the opposite garbage just open the door for them.
