I was looking on my basᴇмᴇɴt and found a little satellite thing. Recoton says it must be the company and TX is probably what it’s called. It looks very old, but in good condition. I was wondering if this might be something for wireless speakers? Thanks for any help!
Answer 1
I still have one that works!
It’s a wireless headset. The “satellite thing” is actually a low power transmitter. It connects to the stereo line output. Then the headset will listen to the wireless stereo to connect.

What is a Recoton TX and how do I use it?

The ‘tx’ tag identifies the (twisted) pair of telecommunication/telephone wires used to transmit data, the ‘rx’ is for receiving data. I don’t know the “recoton”, but I know the telecommunications and the cabling of the local networks. The tx and rx are for transmission and reception. Good luck!
answer 4
It is a transmitter of some sort, either for wireless speakers or headphones, or for Audio/Video, which would have an additional receiver.
