What Does “Gone Until November” Mean?

What does it mean when someone says they will be gone in November? I’ve heard rappers say that (ex. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, etc.). I even heard a Wyclef Jean song called “Gone Till November”. So I know it’s not just an irrelevant phrase. I read the definition from the urban dictionary but I need confirmation.

A bit surprised by the answers here as I thought it was common knowledge. The song is actually about going out of town to pick some weed. Once finally harvested, there is a long process of preparation for trimming and drying before the “cutters” return home to the towns where they normally live.

means you went out of town to sell keys

October is when the DEA begins to crack down on the criminals it pursues year-round. Narcotics in particular. November is the time when you can safely get back to your routine.
