ok so im trying to write an essay/journal for my psychology class about today..? class and as I type in Microsoft Word I write “in today’s class. as it is = is. so someone please explain to me what this is and is Is this correct for today? or am I right and the computer is wrong?

Answer 1

You use “today” as a possessive for “class”, and that requires an apostrophe.

The apostrophe ‘s’ sometimes indicates a contraction of “today is”, but the apostrophe here does not.

Today is: Today is a beautiful day.

Possessive: today’s class – today’s class

answer 2

Today

answer 3

The “class today” emphasizes “ownership”. It is OK and is interchangeable with “today’s class”.

Some people are confused because “today” is not a person. But it is an implicit form of possession.

answer 4

What about today’s “economy-driven society”? to help

Answer 5

I think “class today” would be correct.
Today would imply ‘it is today’.
Just like you would use it as a possessive, and it’s like a contraction.
