Physics Help: Find the net electric flux?

The three small spheres shown in the figure carry charges q1= 4.20 nC, q2= -7.60 nC and q3= 2.80 nC.

Answer 1

Let’s solve all five parts at once.

The net electric flux of a closed surface is, according to Guass’s law, equivalent to the charge that the surface contains divided by the permittivity of free space, e_0. So all you have to do to calculate the throughput is

Flow = Closed Load / 8.85 x 10^(-12)

That’s it! So if the included load is q1 and q2, you should put -3.40*10^(-9) as the included load and divide by 8.85 x 10^(-12). That’s all you have to do.

I hope this helps you!
