Jehovah’s Witnesses, do you impose your views on others?

“Do you impose your opinions on others? Here is the caption for the following image on page 10 of the September 15, 2015 Watchtower:

answer 3

Imposing – attacking others; interfere. take undue advantage; abuse (influence, friendship, etc.). defraud; fake; round:
Do we impose our opinions on others? I don’t think like that. Let’s share the message of the kingdom of God with those who will listen. Those who seek the Father will teach the truth about the Bible. If you’re not interested, then go for it.
I want everyone who will listen to live in a place of peace and security in the new system of things the Bible promises, especially my family. But each person MUST choose for himself how he is going to live his life. They must CHOOSE to worship God or not. It must be voluntarily.

Have? The very actions that the Watchtower criticizes as amounting to imposing their views on other members of the congregation are the same actions that Jehovah’s Witnesses take toward the public. So the Watchtower is unwittingly exposing its own hypocrisy for this image! Watch: a single person replaces the products in the image to show that you are doing the same!

Answer 5

In this overall system of things, there are two things you can count on,
Taxes and death. With Jehovah’s Witnesses, you can count on two things with Preaching Hope and Teaching the Bible. With Jehovah God, there are two things you can count on, Life or Death…. So it’s up to you what you choose?

Answer 1

I wonder if the Reflexidine salespeople will continue to come to your door every week after you tell them you’re not interested. Or if you buy their product and find it inferior to other products and decide to switch, will they see it as a Reflexi-postat, never speaking to you again, even if you are family or a long-time friend?
I just don’t see the good people at Reflexidine being as imposing as the corporate salespeople at Watchtower.

Answer 9

If we do, that’s what Jesus did too. Jesus preached to anyone who would listen. Your message? The Kingdom of God is mankind’s only hope.
Jehovah’s Witnesses, as followers of Jesus’ footsteps, and first-century Christians take seriously Jesus’ command, “Go therefore and make disciples.” And they’re doing just like Jesus and the first century Christians: “In public and from house to house.”
There is no doubt that the people of Jesus’ day thought the same of him, which is why he was eventually silenced. What motivated Jesus to preach to others is what motivates us: love of God and love of neighbor.
We do not wish to impose our message on anyone. We lovingly share with others what someone has taken the trouble to share with us.
