is lightning struck wood valuable?

Wood struck by lightning generally becomes more resistant, as its normally porous structure becomes more compact and therefore denser and more resistant. That’s the premise of the film based on the novel “The Natural”, in which wood from a tree struck by lightning was used to create an apparently powerful bat (nothing to do with mass, of course!). 🇧🇷

As many trees are struck by lightning every day, it is probably of no value, except perhaps to an artist or a woodworker, and even then it would probably be rejected because of its burnt, even sanded surfaces (i.e. the “natural bat” it’s more myth than reality.) Look at it this way: the only reason diamonds—just a rock!–are valuable is because someone had to dig down to find the material and cut it to specifications. (Never mind that it’s controlled by a quasi-monopoly!) Shells were once considered a form of currency by Native Americans and other peoples, what are they worth now?

Basically, there is such a huge myth about lightning (for example, “Lightning never strikes in the same place twice” is far from true!), that over the years some people have attributed “magical” attributes “to anything it strikes”. by lightning, including people., especially if they weren’t killed!

Of course, if the wood has completely burned out, then it is ash and completely useless to anyone! 🇧🇷

The link below shows some nice pictures of trees struck by lightning; doesn’t answer your question, but it does contain good information (FWIW, I couldn’t find anything of value on the web, and since no one else has asked this question, I’ve given you one star for being “Interesting”!)

what is the full form of wifi ?

According to the Wi-Fi Alliance, which owns the Wi-Fi trademark. “Wi-Fi” is not an abbreviation or an acronym. It is not “short” for anything. The brand services consultancy Interbrand was hired by the Wi-Fi Alliance to invent an expression to substitute for “802.11”. They submitted “Wi-Fi” as a pun (play on words) of “Hi-Fi”, and created the W-Fi logo (a visual pun on the Yin-Yang symbol). The Wi-Fi Alliance briefly used the tag line “The Standard for Wireless Fidelity” in their promotions, which was quickly dropped. Wi-Fi Alliance founding member Phil Belanger, who oversaw the name selection process, states — “… some of my colleagues … could not imagine using the name “Wi-Fi” without having some sort of literal explanation. So we compromised and agreed to include the tag line ‘The Standard for Wireless Fidelity’ along with the name. This was a mistake and only served to confuse people and dilute the brand. This tag line was invented after the fact … by the initial six member board and it does not mean anything either. The Wi-Fi Alliance … stay out of inventing standards. And “Wireless Fidelity” – what does that mean? Nothing. It was a clumsy attempt to come Read more
