Last night I noticed the lower heating element in the oven was broken in half, wondering if it’s not safe to cook with.

If you have a chicken in this oven, it would be safe to use this feature, but the cook section will not work if the lower element is broken. That’s all we can say about it.

The center wire for the heating element is 220 volts, I would not recommend using that. They are easy to replace if you turn off the circuit breaker first. Remember the same screw that screws you. Remember how you deleted the old item. I hope this helps you.

IF it’s totally broken in half, it won’t heat up, but it can’t hurt anything. I just replaced mine. I cost about $30 online and it was very easy to do. Simply remove your model number from the oven label and order it. http://www.repairclinic.com/Home.aspx

You can use it, but it won’t heat up properly, so it won’t cook or cook things properly.
