a little help would be appreciated here are the 4 answers
Answer 1
The answer is 14.6 kJ
I just did this exact problem for someone else.
First you need to find the specific heat of ethanol. This value would be given in any standardized test.
Specific heat of ethanol = 2.46j/g*C
now we just use the formula;
e=mc delta T
Where delta T = final temperature. – starting temperature.
m = mass
c = specific heat
e = 300g * 2.46 * (20 – 0)
e = 14760 joules
= 14.76 kilojoules
answer 2
q = mx Cg x (Tf – Ti)
Cg = 2.44 J/(Cg)
q = 300 gx 2.44 J/C gx (20 – 0) C = 14640 J
14.6kJ
