How do I fix my Paper Pro stapler?

I tried going to the Paper Pro website and opening the online manual, but it just wouldn’t allow me to open it. maybe you have better luck? My problem is that this black metal thing that’s attached to the stapler spring isn’t where it’s supposed to be; it stays in that position so the spring doesn’t expand and I have no idea where I should put that black metal thing!

Perhaps the site below will be useful to you. It would be more helpful to provide a website you’ve tried before and a product model number.
If you can’t “find it”, you’ll have to take it to someone who can. Although your local stationery store seems logical, I can suggest a place where you might find someone inclined towards mechanics: a hardware store.

I had the same problem as you, not turning the spring to trigger the clamps. Maybe it was a fluke, but I took the bottom removable metal piece (it has the groove that bends the staples) and used it to pry the black top off the stapler (I’m sure anything that fits it will do). It slipped out of my hands after applying good pressure, definitely moving the black piece a bit, and when I picked it up the spring snapped back into place. I DIDN’T BROKEN THE BLACK SHIRT, JUST MOVED IT A LITTLE. I’m not sure how I did it, but mine is working again. I can’t tell you how far to open it, but I was trying to open it, so I used good pressure. Thought it would be anyway, let’s break this thing down… I see this comment was posted 5 years ago so I’m sure you’re still not wasting your time trying to fix a dumb stapler, but for anyone else, I hope this helps.
Cheers

You are putting the staples in the wrong place. Instructions below:
1) Open the stapler
2) Pull the “slide” (clamp holder) outwards
3) Flip the stapler
4) Place the new staples INSIDE the stapler itself – where the slide comes from. Make sure the clamps are pointing the right way.
5) Push the slide back into the stapler until it locks.
6) Ready to use.

I have a Paper pro professional 65 that has stopped working. I initially thought the 1/4″ long aftermarket collets were the problem and went out and bought 3/8″ (Tough 0.95cm). Is the problem with the replacement collars or the expensive new product?

Answer 6

I know it doesn’t make sense, but once the zipper is removed, just flip them over and close the zipper. It works beautifully.

Answer 7

try putting the staples upside down…with the pins up rather than down like most staples. Good luck.

Answer 8

Throw this garbage in the garden and crush it with your car. Then put the car in reverse and smash that piece of scrap again.
