Do Pizza Hut Delivery People Require Exact Change?

My friend and I ordered and it was 3:30pm but I only got 20. Do I have to give exact change or do the delivery people carry change for this type of situation?

ALL add delivery charges. Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John’s, etc. I have never bought a pizza here in Vegas without paying for one in the past 2 decades anyway. Last week I got them both for $5.99 each at Dominoes and they left for $14.98 + tip.

Delivery drivers almost never transport parts. The reason is that stores don’t ask for it and it’s an easy way to get a tip from a stiffer one. They should always have 15-20 in cash, but never more than that. Jennifer is also wrong. You must tip at least 15%. She may have ordered a lot of pizzas, but I’ve delivered thousands more.

they carry change for only 20

I never thought of it that way to be honest

Uhhh yeah… But if it’s a huge difference like the total is 15.30 and you have a hundred dollar bill, they might not have change for you. Most of the time they have change because they want a tip, so of course they will have change, especially since what you have is not totally worthless.

They usually take change – but don’t forget to tip!!

It’s not clear to me either.

In my experience, whenever an order requires a change, the drivers always say they don’t have the change needed, like in your case, 70 cents back and offer dollar bills. I called the pizzeria and asked why they send drivers without change. How do they know they are going to need it if I pay with 20.00… The tip is my call, not the drivers. If the driver can’t give me change, I don’t feel inclined to tip them. The tip depends exclusively on the customer.

They bring change.
